Walked into this whole classic car thing knowing basically nothing about engines, trim levels, or what a fair price even looks like. A friend pointed me toward horton's auto sales since they mostly deal in older cars instead of just newer stock off a lot.
Before I commit to anything I want to know if their process is actually manageable for someone who has never done this before, or if I should bring in a mechanic buddy just to feel safe.
Anyone here start out completely clueless and still walk away happy with their purchase?

Bought my first classic through horton's auto sales last year with zero background either. The paperwork side was way simpler than i expected, honestly the hardest part was just picking a car.

This matches what I've read about horton's auto sales elsewhere too. I'd still recommend getting an independent inspection done once it arrives, just for peace of mind on an older vehicle, even with their own pre delivery check.

Good to hear this, thanks. Was honestly worried buying from horton's auto sales would be overwhelming for someone starting completely from scratch.

To add to my earlier post, delivery through horton's auto sales took about a week and a half for me and support answered every dumb question i had without making me feel stupid about it. Prices were already solid so i didn't bother trying to negotiate anything, and returning it would've been an option too if it showed up wrong.
